i prefer zoom player over gom, i have them both

mkplayer is good as gom i think but
gom is faster than mk i guess

Are you asking about HD playback? I presume if you are on this forum you are, then VLC is the best.

Better refers to a point of view. Zoom player doesn't read subs in txt file format which is quite common in my country so I prefer to use best player with core avc codec. But anyway.. any player with the right configuration and proper codecs can be treater as the best for you. Test a few players yourself and pick the one you like more.

I find GOM keeps on crashing so I use VLC. GOM would be better if it didn't keep crashing!

get both, i have both........and i realize some movies play better on gom player than vlc, but............hd plays much better on vlc....and i have never had gom crash........it just ghosts a little when playing hd........anyway i was wondering....so if you have lots of codec....does it conflict when i play hd files.....imean i can already play hd......but if i get special mkv codes ....would that hurt or help??
