my two cents...
First jdownloader well besides the fact that it requires java I guess it's ok but I don't install java on my machines so that's out of the question. Second cryptload well at least this one doens't require java but get ready for some high cpu usage... DLC files are here to stay or at least it looks like that. So I suppose we'll all have to adopt one of these applications or the other, I;m thinking of setting up jdownloader on a mini-itx system I have (VIA chipset) and just have that box do nothing but dlc downloads but I find the whole dlc idea kinda lame. I'm rpetty sure if someone downloads the files with either of these programs that they could simply provide the file hosters with the zip names as opposed to full paths and still have them removed. edit: also on a side note the DLC api is provided by the people who made jdownloader so I'm sure it's not impossible to reverse engineer the container. With JDownloader, the .dlc saves on your HDD and all the links will start automatically to download in JD.
nextelmichaelg, your problem must probably be because most of the links are from rapidshare and if your using the free version, the download speed must be limited due to high download volume.

Use Jdownloader, it runs parallel downloads, allows you to limit your speed if your like me and max out the connection then need to cap it off to play on xbox live lag free, it unrars automatically, you can save in passwords for rars so you dont need to write them down and what not.

Its a known RS-Server Problem! you can read in Gulli Forum about it! Its not bounded to a Loader! It happens for SOO Many ppl in Cryptload, Load....Browser too!
JDdownloader is a better Browser Client! JD does not Limit Speed! You get the speed the hoster gives you! |

i've been reading people's posts on this site trying to find a solution to the jDownloader.. I am using it for the first time past couple of days; i understand from these posts that the whole purpose behind the .dlc file is to keep the links from getting deleted/removed from the host sites so quickly; however, my problem with the downloader is that it downloads so slow! I share the frustration with some people here that would like this program to show us the links-for me personally, so I can download them using FlashGet, which triples/quadruples the download speed; I am running 25-30 Mbps on my cable internet, using FlashGet, downloading 5-8 files at a time, it runs @ approx. 2-2.5 MB/s.. all the links i queued in FlashGet have downloaded over night; I just woke up to jDownloader running @ ~300 KB/s?!?!?!
... If there is anyone out there that knows how to display Rapidshare[dot]com links embedded/encrypted..whatever! in .dlc files, please share!, Thank you :-) |

Links to hosting sites like Rapidshare, Megaupload and Netload are constantly deleted (due to a variety of reasons) - so the need to protect/encrypt them. Again, like it was said before in this thread, having a program to seprarately view links in .dlc, .ccf and other container files....would beat the whole purpose of encrypting them in the first place.
Do try out a program like JDownloader or Cryptload. Trust me, they're light, easy to use, they don't hog system resources, and most of all, you'd would be doing the guys who regularly upload those links a huge favour :-) |

I wanna ask if there is any program that open the dlc file in order to see the list of the links?
I think this would be very helpful if you don't want to install a new downloader. Thanks |

Some people, myself included, worried that a java prog like jdownloader might be used to obtain premium account details, - but after much very satisfactory use there are no signs in the log files so far... Seems to be stable now too. Recommended.

No that would defeat the purpose of .dlc, it's encrypted so noone sees the links hence they don't get reported.

I really like JDownloader, once you get it set up it's easy breezy. Even automatically unrars for you.
